The new Sports Prototype Cup has announced that former Radical Sportscars Championship Manager, Amanda Abbott, will join the Cup organisational team.

The Sports Prototype Cup will begin in 2019 comprising two categories, the Revolution UK Trophy and the BARC Radical SR3 Trophy.   Amanda will focus on the growth of the Revolution UK Trophy, which caters for the spectacular new 440bhp/tonne Revolution Race Car, launched at the Motorsport Days Live Show at Silverstone a month ago.

Both the Revolution UK and Radical SR3 Trophy races will share a grid in 2019, with races to be held over 6 weekends, administered by the British Automobile Racing Club.

James Bailey, Sports Prototype Cup promoter, said: "Under Amanda's leadership, the Radical Championships flourished with strong grids and close competition. That's because Amanda and her colleagues understood the importance of treating drivers and teams as customers. We aim to bring the same customer-centric focus to the Sports Prototype Cup and create that blend of professionalism with a welcoming family atmosphere in the paddock."

The first round of the Sports Prototype Cup will be held on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on April 27th.
